Royal welcome in Brussels for President Trump
President Donald J. Trump has been invited to take coffee with King Filip at the royal palace in Brussels on 25 May during his first visit to Belgium as US President. Prime Minister Charles Michel will be present too and there is also speculation that France's brand new president, Emmanuel Macron, will join the party.
Coffee is scheduled for 10AM. Melania Trump is expected to accompany her husband. Later on 25 May, Ascension Day and a public holiday in Belgium, President Trump is expected at NATO HQ and the European institutions in Brussels.
President Macron of France is expected to join the heads of state and PM Michel if his diary allows. He may possibly be accompanied by France's new First Lady, Brigitte Macron.
