Gnomes take over Flemish Brabant village

The residents of the Flemish Brabant village of Hoegaarden woke up to a rather strange sight on Wednesday morning. An army of 750 colourful garden gnomes had taken over the village. Where ever they look be it on drivers, next to letter boxes or in front of front doors there were gnomes.

It remains a mystery who put the gnomes where and why. However, a card with a date and time is attached to each and every one of them: “Saturday 21 April between 10am and 1pm”.

Maybe then we will find out where the gnomes came from and what they are all doing in Hoegaarden.
