Last minute goal gives KV Mechelen victory

In the first of this weekend’s Belgian First Division games, KV Mechelen enjoyed a 1-0 home win against KAS Eupen. Eupen did seem to be heading towards their first clean sheet of the season.

A fairly lacklustre match with more yellow cards than chances did seem to be heading towards a goalless draw.

However, a Jaadi goal in the first minute of stoppage time made it 1-0 to KV Mechelen. The result sees KV Mechelen move up to 8th place in the league with 25 points from 17 games.

KAS Eupen are 11th with 16 points. Both teams’ league positions could change depending on the results of this weekend’s other games.
