Laken shooting leaves one man heavily injured
The Brussels municipality of Laken was the scene of a shooting incident last night. One man suffered life-threatening injuries when he was shot at in his car. Police are still looking for the assailants.
The incident happened around 11:30pm last night. Eye witnesses told the police that the driver of a small car was shot several times. The victim managed to leave his car, but succumbed on the pavement. The man was taken to hospital where he is in a life-threatening condition.
There is no trace of the shooter (singular or plural). Police could not say anything about a possible motive or the victim's identity. Investigators are examining CCTV footage and looking in witnesses' statements.
