"All passengers to use main departure hall"

From next Thursday onwards all passengers travelling from Brussels Airport will be able to use the main departure hall to perform check-in formalities. A temporary construction that was created following the March attacks will no longer be used.

This means that two and a half months after the attacks Brussels Airport will resume normal operations. Passengers should be able to get to their departure gate within an hour of entering the airport building. Brussels Airport's latest flight plan allows the departure of 28 flights an hour. By the summer 44 departing flights an hour will be possible.

Since last week passengers are able to access the bus station directly from the terminal. Transit passengers can use the escalator between arrivals and departures too. The entrance to the rail station that was damaged in the blasts should be open by June.
