Sprint aces Usain Bolt of Jamaica and Justin Gatlin (United States) have confirmed their presence at the Ivo Van Damme Diamond League athletics meeting. The 39th edition will take place in the Boudewijn Stadium in Brussels on 11 September.

However, the two will not clash. Newly-crowned World Champion Bolt will take part in the 200 metres, while Gatlin will compete in the 100 metres. Gatlin will defend his leading position in Diamond League rankings for the 100 metres.
Brussels is welcoming 3 other world champions: Julius Yego of Kenya (javelin), Shawnacy Barber of Canada (pole vault) and Caterine Ibargüen of Cuba (long jump).
