KV Oostende triumph against Standard
The revelation of the present soccer season so far - Oostende - once again feature on top of the Belgian football league table this Monday morning, after the Ostend eleven travelled to Liège to inflict a stunning 2-1 defeat on Standard de Liège.
After five matches Sint-Truiden are second followed by Anderlecht and AA Gent. Gent failed to score when they travelled to Kortrijk. The match ended in a goalless draw.
Despite Oostende's win Standard's Anthony Knockaert was widely acclaimed as man of the match , while Brüls experienced a great first match with Standard scoring after barely two minutes.
Oostende's Akpala (top photo) equalised after 14 minutes, while Musona (last photo) took Oostende into the lead in the 78th minute. The Ostend eleven could return home mission accomplished.
