Fuel, telecoms services and fruit all became more expensive in February as did a night out at a restaurant or pub. Newspapers, books and stationary all went up in price as did foreign travel. The price of cut flowers too soared.

Heating fuel and natural gas both became cheaper this February. Belgium's negative inflation is due to negative inflation on energy costs (-11.96%) and food (-0.05%). Inflation in the services sector and for rents rose by 2.15% and 1.18%.
