Drone seen above nuclear power plant
The judicial authorities in the East Flemish town of Dendermonde confirmed on Saturday evening that a drone flew over the Doel nuclear power plant. Earlier on Saturday, the electricity supply and distribution company Electrabel that owns and operates the plant reported that a drone had been seen flying over Doel.
Speaking on Saturday evening, the East Flemish Judicial Authorities Spokeswoman Caroline Jonckers told journalists that "We can confirm that the East Flemish Judicial authorities are investigating reports of a drone flying over the Doel nuclear power station. However, at this moment in time we are not prepared to disclose any further information.”
