Club Brugge remain top after win at Standard

After the first day of play in the Belgian First Division in 2017 there was no change at all at the top with all the top four teams winning this weekend. Club Brugge consolidated their position at the top with a 3-0 win away at Standard de Liège. Sporting Anderlecht’s 3-1 home win against Sint-Truiden means that they remain second.

Zulte Waregem’s 3-2 win away at near-neighbours KV Kortrijk means that they remain third. KV Oostende’s 1-0 win away at Waasland Beveren means that they are fourth.
