UEFA opens disciplinary procedure against Belgium

The European football association UEFA has opened a disciplinary procedure against Belgium at Euro 2016. The procedure was started after Belgium-Ireland on charges of misconduct by a small number of Belgian fans in Bordeaux.

Belgian supporters lighted fireworks inside the stadium after Axel Witsel scored the 2-0. They also threw objects onto the pitch. Minor incidents, but they could have consequences. No date has been set on which the UEFA Disciplinary Commission will treat the case.

Portugal and Hungary are also among countries facing disciplinary measures.
