Former Boro player steers Bruges to first away win
Jelle Vossen was a surprise transfer late August. He had only just signed for Premiership club Burnley when he decided to return to Belgium after all, to FC Bruges. He needed a couple of matches to find his place, but is now proving his worth for blue&black (the colours of Club Brugge, although they played in bright red at Lokeren, red).
Vossen gave Bruges an early lead on 8 minutes. Lokeren, a team looking for their best form, had no answer until halfway the second half when they put up the pressure. The former Charlton coach Bob Peeters, now at the helm of Lokeren, saw his team pushing Brugge back, but Lokeren failed to score one, leaving the score at 0-1. It's the first away win for Bruges this season.
