A point each for Lokeren and Charleroi

In the first of Sunday’s three Belgian First Division games, Sporting Lokeren drew two-all at home against Sporting Charleroi. The result sees Lokeren take their first point of the new season. Meanwhile, Sporting Charleroi make it a very respectable 4 points out of a possible 6 from their first two games.

Charleroi took the lead after 15 minutes of play when Ferber put the ball past Verhulst to make it 1-0 to the Zebras.

Evariste Ngolok put Lokeren back on level terms 10 minutes later and the half ended one-all. Charleroi took the lead again on 66 minutes with a header from Dieumerci Ndongala.

However, the visitors’ joy was short-lived and Lokeren’s new-boy Sergiy Bolbat levelled the score 2 minutes later. With no further goals falling during the final 20 or so minutes of play the match ended all square at 2-2.
