The players in Belgian football’s First Division have chosen Club Brugge’s Catalan midfielder Victor Vázquez as their player of the year. The 360 proffesionals that play for Belgium’s 16 First Division club voted Victor Vázquez's Israeli team mate Lior Refaelov into second place. Sporting Charleroi’s Neeskens Kebano came in third.
The Champions’ AA Gent’s Laurent Depoître was fourth and Sporting Anderlecht’s Aleksandar Mitrović was fifth.
Victor Vázquez (28) suceeds Thorgan Hazard as the players’ player of the year. Earlier this season, Vázquez just missed on the Golden Boot that was won by Sporting Anderlecht’s Dennis Praet.
