Arsenal v Anderlecht: yet another stunner!

Anderlecht came from behind at the Emirates in London to draw 3-3 against Arsenal in Wednesday night's fixture in the Champions League. Anderlecht are now third in Group D behind Borussia Dortmund and Galatasaray of Turkey.

Anderlecht v Arsenal matches always bring the promise of a surprise. In the first leg of this fixture the two teams were on level pegging for much of the match until a late goal secured victory for the visiting English squad. It was no different in London on Wednesday when Anderlecht secured a 3-3 draw after coming back into the match from 3-0 down.

Mitrovic is man of the match crowning Anderlecht's late offensive with the equaliser.

Arsenal took a cautious approach to the visiting Belgians, while Anderlecht stormed into the match. To little avail. Half way through the first half Anderlecht took command of the match.

By the 58th minute Arsenal had notched up a commanding lead. Arreta was first to score thanks to a penalty. Sanchez and Oxlade-Chamberlain made it 3-0. 18-year-old Kawaya Vanden Borre earning his first cap seemed to save Anderlecht from utter humiliation by putting their first goal on the board in the 61st minute, but it soon turned out that this goal was only a taste of more to come. Vanden Borre took Anderlecht to 3-2 thanks to a penalty on the 73rd minute while the equaliser from Mitrovic came in the 90th minute.

Anderlecht are only the second visiting squad to come back from 3-0 down in a Champions League match.
