Brussels Airlines dogged by technical issues

Brussels Airlines has had to cancel a further eight flights today due to technical hitches. The airline has been dogged by technical difficulties for a couple of days now. Twelve flights needed to be cancelled on Friday.

All passengers affected have been notified. The problems surfaced on Brussels Airlines planes but also on planes used by its subcontractor Cityjet. Cityjet, an Irish company, uses Sukhoi Superjets for Brussels Airlines short haul routes. Cityjet's Sukhoi Superjets have technical issues and are being grounded until the problems can be sorted out.

All planes operated by Brussels Airlines itself are now flying properly.
