Sint-Niklaas bar second at Interior Award in London

The King George bar in the East Flemish town of Sint-Niklaas has taken second prize for the world’s most beautiful bar interior at the prestigious World Interior Awards in the British capital London. The interior (see photo above) was designed by the King George’s own creative team. The King George was the only bar in Europe to make the shortlist.

The East Flemish watering hole and eatery faced stiff competition from bars in Melbourne, Sydney (both Australia) and Shanghai in China.

The bar serves as a meeting place for locals and those that work in nearby companies and is also popular as a place to go out for lunch or to take a well-earned coffee break.
