Bruges Police search for missing Briton

The police and the judicial authorities in the West Flemish city of Bruges have issued an appeal for information about the whereabouts of a 30-year-old Briton missing since Wednesday night. Matthew Webb went missing after an evening’s drinking in the bars around the central market square in Bruges.

Saying that he felt unwell, Mr Webb left the company he was with and left for his hotel at around 2.30am. However, he never arrived and hasn’t been seen since. Matthew Webb was in Belgium on a business trip.

When he went missing Mr Webb was dressed in a black woollen coat, a blue t-shirt, a pair of blue stonewashed jeans and white shoes. He is about 1.75m tall, has short mousy hair with a left parting
