Thibaut Courtois is a dad!

The goalkeeper of the Belgian national football team and of newly-crowned Premier League champions Chelsea, Thibaut Courtois, has become a father. His Spanish girlfriend Marta gave birth to a baby daughter, Adriana.

Adriana was born late on Tuesday through a Caesarian section. Courtois and his partner are over the moon: "On Tuesday the 26th May at 21:15h our little princess Adriana came into our lives. We are beyond happy to have her with us and give her all our love. Words can't explain how deeply in love we are with you, Adriana!" Courtois posted on Instagram.

Courtois was given some time off by his employer for the birth of his first child. He was allowed to skip a commercial trip to Thailand and Australia. Courtois met Marta Dominguez during his spell at Atletico Madrid. The birth took place in a hospital in Madrid.

Thibaut Courtois is expected with the Belgian national squad, the Red Devils, next week on Thursday. Belgium is playing a friendly against France before taking on Wales in the Euro 2016 preliminaries.
