Mechelen police go retro
Apparently officers from the traffic division of the Mechelen-Willebroek Local Police Service have a sense of humour. On Monday morning the traffic cops announced on Twitter where they will be setting up the day’s speed traps.
The accompanying photograph raised a few eyebrows as it features police officers and vehicles from around 30 years ago.
So watch out if you are caught speeding on the R6 in Mechelen (Antwerp province) as you may be asked to pay you fine in Belgian Francs rather than euro!
